Let's make Smyrna amazing.

The city has done so many things really well.

Thirty years ago, Smyrna completely transformed its downtown. The result was beautiful. It was visionary.  It won design awards.

Now Smyrna's downtown needs revitalization.

But the city's current plan needs further thought.

The proposed plan risks undoing some of the great work of the past.

We know Smyrna can do better.

Smyrna is already a great place to live and work.

Let's be sure to make the right choices
for the future.

We think the plan to redesign the area in front of the Smyrna Community Center and Library needs more thought and more community input.  Here's why:

  • It eliminates the award-winning roundabout at a time when roundabouts are being installed all over Cobb County and Georgia for traffic calming and flow.

  • It removes mature 30 year old specimen trees

  • It is unwarranted, costly and not urgent

  • It proposes to sell more than an acre of prime public land
